Improvement to keyword tracking method visibility and new setting for adding keywords
We’re excited to announce significant improvements to how keywords are tracked and displayed in Keyword.com. These updates introduce new settings and refine existing functionality, providing you with greater transparency, flexibility, and control over your data. With these changes, managing your keyword tracking preferences has never been easier or more precise.
New “Ignore Sub-Domains” Setting:
- This powerful new setting lets you decide whether to ignore sub-domains in your tracked results. If selected, sub-domains will be excluded from the SERP results, giving you a more focused view of your primary domain rankings.

- The setting is available on the Add Keyword and Edit Keyword forms.
- You will be able to easily see if your keyword is set to ignore sub-domains, by hovering over the ranking url field in the Ranking Table.

New Tracking Icons and Tooltips:
- The Ranking Table now features icons in the URL column to indicate whether tracking is set to “Broad” or “Exact.”
- Tooltips for these icons provide additional clarity, displaying both the “Tracking Method” and the status of the “Ignore Sub-Domain” setting.
PDF Reports & CSV Exports:
- PDF exports now include the new “Broad Domain” icon for better visual representation.
- CSV exports include two new columns: “Tracking Method” (showing “Broad” or “Exact”) and “Ignore Sub-Domain” (showing “Yes” or “No”).
API
- You can set wether you want to track the "Broad" or "Exact" domain in the api as well as setting the sub-domain. Check out the API docs for new parameters in the Add Keyword endpoint
These enhancements are designed to give you more control over how you track and analyze your keywords, reduce ambiguity, and provide a cleaner user experience. The addition of the “Ignore Sub-Domain” setting ensures your data aligns perfectly with your tracking needs, while the improved exports offer greater transparency and detail.
