Most keyword scans check the SERP 20 results, with a full SERP 100 scan running once a week. When a keyword isn't found in a SERP 20 scan, it doesn't necessarily mean it dropped — it could just be sitting at position 21. Until now, these showed up as alerts identical to real ranking drops, creating noise.

OTR labels in the alerts table
  • Keywords not found on a top-20 scan now show OTR (Out of Range) instead of "> 100" in both the
    Previous Rank
    and
    New Rank
    columns
  • You can immediately tell the difference between an uncertain movement and a confirmed drop from the weekly full scan
New setting: Ignore Out of Range movements
  • Enable it in
    Alerts Settings
to skip all OTR-related alerts — both drops to OTR and recoveries from OTR
  • Only confirmed rank changes will trigger alerts
